Dive into Miami Swimweek

Last week was the hottest fashion show of the year; Miami swim week. Every year Miami hosts the biggest swim show and trade show giving brands from all across the world the chance to be noticed. Tall, leggy, tanned models brace the runway in Itty bitty bikinis, and there is more skin on show in this one place than in anywhere in the world!

The swim industry is thriving at a rapid rate and everyone wants in. There are 2,500 brands and over 3,000 buyers so whether you’re going to promote your brand, discover a brand or simply watch the shows and go to the parties, this week is one hell of an event.

This year we saw three major trade shows; SwimShow, Hammock and Cabana. There was a relaxed, chilled vibe amongst all three where buyers were invited to be pampered. They had access to beauty bar, healthy refreshments, cocktails and even a spa! Brands like Same swim held influencer events, there were cocktail parties and this years hottest ticket was of course, to Zimmerman’s fabulous four course dinner!

This week showcased some incredible brands! From our very own Frankie and also Australian labels Acacia and TJ Swim, right through to our favourite American brand For Love & Lemons but the stand out show would have to have been Sports Illustrated who used models of all shapes and sizes and featured paraolympian Brenna Huckaby.

We loved the ever so sexy one pieces, the high waisted pant that never seems to go out of fashion and especially commend recyclable and sustainable swimwear brands like our soon to be launched Peony Swim.

Over all it was a huge success and one hell of a party… I mean, networking event.
